Putting Customers First: Behind the Scenes with E Plan Energy’s Customer Care Team
At E Plan Energy, supporting our community means more than the work we do every day. As a family business, we believe in looking after people, supporting important causes and making a positive difference wherever we can. Throughout October, we have been proud to raise money and awareness for three incredible charities: Macmillan Cancer Support, Teenage Cancer Trust, and Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. Each organisation provides vital support to people and families facing challenging circumstances. From helping people affected by cancer to providing specialist care for children and young people, their work makes a genuine difference to lives across the country. We are incredibly proud to support these charities. Giving back is not simply something we do; supporting people and our communities is at the heart of E Plan.
Cancer can affect every aspect of a person’s life, as well as the lives of their family and friends. Access to practical help, emotional support and reliable information can make a significant difference during an incredibly difficult time. Macmillan Cancer Support works to support people living with cancer, offering practical, emotional and financial assistance to help them navigate the challenges a diagnosis can bring. Through its services and campaigning, the charity helps people access the support they need and works to improve the experience of cancer care. We are proud to support Macmillan and help raise awareness of the important work it carries out. Every contribution helps support a cause that touches so many lives, reminding us why coming together to help others matters.
A cancer diagnosis can be particularly challenging for teenagers and young adults, who may face unique emotional, social and practical difficulties alongside their treatment. Teenage Cancer Trust provides specialist support for young people aged 13 to 24 with cancer, including dedicated nursing care and support to help them navigate their diagnosis and treatment. Its work recognises that young people have specific needs and deserve care that understands the challenges they face at such an important stage of their lives. We are proud to support Teenage Cancer Trust and help shine a light on the difference it makes to young people and their families. Raising awareness of charities like this is important because their work deserves recognition, and the people they support deserve to know that they are not alone.
We are also proud to support Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, a charity providing specialist care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, as well as support for their families. Based in the East Midlands, Rainbows provides care and support in a range of settings, helping families access specialist services during some of the most difficult periods of their lives. The compassion and dedication behind this work highlight the importance of ensuring that children, young people and their families receive the care and support they need. We are proud to contribute to Rainbows’ fundraising efforts and help raise awareness of the vital services it provides. Supporting a charity that makes such a meaningful difference to families is something we value deeply. We hope our contribution helps bring further attention to its work and encourages others to learn more about the support available.
As a family business, we understand that looking after people goes beyond the workplace. It is about supporting our colleagues, building strong relationships and making a positive contribution to the communities in which we live and work. Our commitment to charity fundraising reflects these values. Whether we are raising money, spreading awareness or encouraging others to get involved, we believe that every effort to support an important cause is worthwhile. We are proud of our team and the willingness of our colleagues to come together to support others. It is a reminder that, behind every project we deliver, there are people who care about making a difference beyond their day-to-day responsibilities.
Our work across mechanical and electrical services, renewable energy and property improvements is an important part of what we do. However, being a responsible business also means recognising the wider role we can play in supporting people and our communities. You can learn more about E Plan Energy and our work to see how our business continues to develop across these sectors. We recognise that fundraising is just one part of the incredible work these charities carry out. Their teams, volunteers and supporters work tirelessly to provide specialist care, practical assistance and emotional support to those who need it. We are grateful for the opportunity to play a small part in helping them continue their work.
As we reflect on this month’s fundraising, thank you to everyone who contributed, supported our efforts, or helped raise awareness of these three incredible charities. Macmillan Cancer Support, Teenage Cancer Trust and Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People each make a meaningful difference in their own way. We are proud to support their work and help bring greater attention to the causes they represent. Our commitment to supporting others does not stop here. We look forward to continuing to give back, support worthwhile causes, and encourage our team to get involved in initiatives that make a positive difference.
